Inefficient landscape irrigation continues to be a significant waste of water county-wide. As a result, several water purveyors have partnered with the Santa Barbara County Water Agency to offer Landscape Rebates in their service areas. The program requirements may vary slightly from service area to service area, so please see the specific details related to your water purveyor's requirements, below.

Generally, the overall program was designed to assist homeowners that are interested in upgrading the efficiency of their landscape by offering to cover up to 50% of the cost of approved irrigation equipment and landscape materials (but not landscaper labor costs) as an incentive for customer participation, not to exceed $500 or $1000 per site, depending on area. Site visits may be required and Rebates must be approved by the purveyor BEFORE upgrading begins. Rebate limits and approval processes may vary across participating districts. If you are interested, and reside in one of the participating areas, please contact your water purveyor as soon as possible. Funding is limited.
